Computer Group

The Ibberton & Belchalwell Village Hall Computer Group meets on Tuesday mornings between 10am and 12midday.

The sessions are run as a drop-in, with support from a volunteer mentor, who will be on hand to assist you with questions, advice and guidance. Please bring your own laptop if you have one, as the hall's own equipment is limited and usually in use.  If your laptop is not equipped for wireless networking and you wish to access the internet, you will also require a RJ45 patch cable, available cheaply from any computer shop.

Please note that we cannot provide support for PCs away from the hall, and we are not equipped to carry out hardware repairs or upgrades.

The hall has a secure wireless broadband network, 6 ethernet ports in the wall, a laptop, external monitor, external keyboard, monochrome laser printer, and two scanners.

To help with the running costs of the broadband account, we ask for a donation of at least £1 per hour.  Tea/coffee and a biscuit are available for 50p.  Printing (monochrome) is available for 10 per sheet.

The hall's broadband can also be used, by arrangement, at other times, for example if your own broadband service is down.  Again, we do ask for a donation of at least £1 per hour, to contribute towards running costs.
